FOUNDER & OWNER
Dylan Hutcheson

Dylan is a licensed general contractor in the state of Georgia whose construction career began at the age of 17. His early hands-on experience in construction sparked a desire to deepen his knowledge, leading him to pursue a degree in construction management from Georgia Southern University where he graduated magna cum laude. Upon graduation from GSU, he was recruited by Brasfield & Gorrie, one of the nation's largest general contracting firms that specializes in commercial high-rise construction. During his time at B&G, he gained invaluable experience working on large-scale projects involving diverse trades and complex scopes of work, which significantly accelerated his career.
Shortly into his career, Dylan was forced to take a medical leave due to an environmental illness. It took several years for him to fully recover and regain his health. Rather than returning to his previous role, he accepted an offer to become the General Manager of an environmental consulting firm, driven by a desire to help others facing similar health challenges. In this role, he conducted numerous indoor air quality investigations and worked directly with homeowners to develop remediation plans. This experience gave him deep insight into how poor construction practices contribute to sick building syndrome, as well as the high costs associated with correcting them.
Through this work, Dylan came to understand that most of the issues he encountered could have been prevented with better construction practices and a stronger understanding of building science. This realization led him to conclude that the best way to ensure a healthy living environment is to build it correctly from the ground up, incorporating principles rooted in building science and building biology.
Combining his construction background, environmental knowledge, and personal health journey, Dylan founded Holistically Built, LLC. He is driven by an unrelenting passion to use his experience across both industries to build healthier homes that support and enhance the well-being of their occupants.
Dylan is also in the process of pursuing certification as a Building Biology New-Build Consultant through the Building Biology Institute to deepen his knowledge and better serve his clients.
